How to Create a Well Formatted MHC Resume

How to Create a Well Formatted MHC ResumeMHC resume writing is an effective and successful way to help you land a job. It is a sure-fire way to land a job as well as help you get the best compensation package. However, there are a lot of people that never use this technique to land a job. They think that a regular job can be a good option if they have more qualifications and experience but this doesn't actually help them land a good job.To make things easier for you, let's talk about what MHC resume writing is all about. The MHC stands for location, human resources and workplace. What this means is that the employer will send your resume to his or her working associates. These associates can then either make a decision based on the information that you have provided them or simply send it on to their bosses. Now, there are many ways in which you can get jobs nowadays. Some companies don't even require any resumes. Most of them do though. The only way to prove your worth to these compa nies is to provide them with the best resume possible. MHC resume writing will help you write one of the best resumes available.Every year, there are hundreds of applications submitted to different companies. This is why it is important to ensure that you are given a chance to present yourself and your skills. You will be asked to apply for different positions and there is no sense in submitting a resume that has flaws. This is where MHC resume writing comes in.The first thing that you have to do when looking for a job is to create a well-formatted resume. Remember that the company has already started looking at your resume and this is the best time to highlight your accomplishments. There are also other places where you can find information on how to format your resume. You should never follow the format blindly as it might not be appropriate for the specific position that you are applying for.Once you have had the proper preparation for submitting your resume, you can start writin g it. You can use notepad and use good grammar so that it can stand out among the others. Also, remember to get input from your references so that you can write something that makes them proud. Some of the things that you have to include in your MHC resume are your objectives and the reasons why you are applying for the job. Tell them what you expect out of it. Aside from the objective, also tell them why you feel that the position is suitable for you. If you are a good writer, this should be easy to write because you will have a lot of facts to make your point. When your resume is ready, you can now send it off to the employer. They will use the information that you have provided them to make a decision whether to hire you or not. So be sure to do everything right the first time so that you won't lose out.

8 Great Ways to Begin Q4 With a Bang

8 Great Ways to Begin Q4 With a Bang Well, well, well if it isnt Q4  sneaking up on us far  quicker than we ever thought possible! It feels like approximately one minute ago that I returned to work in Q1 following a couple of weeks  Christmas vacation albeit a lot heavier than I  am now, thanks  to  copious amounts of pudding and mulled wine mmm. I digress. A brand new quarter the final quarter is here and now is the time to make sure you finish the year with  a bang! Agency recruitment has its naturally hectic  and quieter periods, which generally coincide with the holiday seasons, so we know how important it is to make the next few busy months really count! Finishing the year on a bang means starting the quarter off  with a bang (Ill stop saying the word bang now). Here are my top 8 tips to getting the most out of the next few months to maximise cause for celebration come the festive season (which is just around the corner, yikes): 1.  Clean up your admin act Do you have million tasks well overdue and yet to be completed according to  your CRM? Is the reality actually that most of them were actioned months ago but you just never deleted the task in the system and updated your notes? If you know you are supposed to log  some not-critical-but-still-important information about a process, or update some client information just do it now. Set aside an hour or two to clean up your admin act. All  your admin shortcomings will clog up your brain space and slow down your productivity. Start Q4 on a new page. 2. Clean your desk space If your desk is cluttered and spewing papers, pens and crisp packets, its time to have a good old autumn clean as the saying goes. Get rid of all the old job specs, notes and bits and bobs that serve absolutely no purpose. Cleaning up your work bench will help you feel fresh; its like a physical representation of wiping the slate clean. Tip: grab a baby wipe and give your keyboard go-over. Youll be surprised / disgusted at the black grime that comes off. 3. Get new stationery Further to my above point, once youve done a bit of cleaning, reward yourself with a new notebook, fresh pens and a highlighter which doesnt stain 10 pages deep. Having some fresh tools at your desk space will again make you feel fresh and ready to go! 4. Get in early In sales, you only get out what you put in. Starting a little earlier each day and getting in before the rest of your colleagues to get ahead each day will make you feel super productive. Its amazing what you can get done when noone else is around no jokes to distract you, no laughter to interrupt your phonecalls, no last-minute meetings to wreck your momentum. 5. Analyse what went well what went wrong Analyse your last quarter in terms of statistics and KPIs. How many CVs were sent? How many meetings did you go on? How many calls / meetings were booked in? And the big one how much money did you make / candidates did you place?  Tallying up your output will gie you really good insights on your work and your pipeline, with respect to your performance. Idnetifying areas you need to improve on and put more work into will give you some direction. you can also take those stats to your manager and ask them for their input can they spot patterns in your activity which worked well/ didnt do so well? 6. Meet everyone you placed last quarter Often youll meet a candidate prior to placing them, then the rest of the process will be conducted over email and phone calls. Take a quick second to book in a meeting with your  placed candidates for a meeting at their new offices (if they have started). Even if you took them for a celebratory drink last quarter, it doesnt matter booking them in for a proper business meeting after theyve started their new role will be a great chance to ask them about other areas of the business for you to follow up on for job leads, and really cement this person as an ally for you in future! As they say, your candidates will ikely become your clients! 7. Go through all old jobs call every candidate you didnt place Once youve dealt with the candidates you did place, turn your attentions to the candidates you sent to jobs but didnt place. These candidates are obviously really good, if you were happy to represent them! Dont let them slip away into the abyss with a job lost or placed. Is there anywhere else you can send these candidates? Can you proactively make introductions with your other clients on their behalf? 8. Map out  25 top new clients Top  make sure your pipeline can stand the test of time and well, a million other odds, map out your market and create a list of new clients youre going to try open doors into! Chipping away at these target clients each week and trying to book meetings with key decision makers will make you feel like youve got some big ambitions for Q4 and will help you visualise the potential with your business! Happy  Q4!

Resume Writing For Nursing - How to Write a Nursing Resume That Gets Noticed

Resume Writing For Nursing - How to Write a Nursing Resume That Gets NoticedResume writing for nursing can be complex. With a variety of choices available, from the use of Microsoft Word to special software that will give you a fresh perspective of what constitutes a decent resume, it's very easy to get overwhelmed. That's why the following tips will help you create a good one without getting too much wrong in the process.First of all, consider whether to use Microsoft Word or some other program. You may find that Word is the right choice for your needs, but that you don't have the time or the familiarity with the various programs to write a good resume. Word is not the only option, though. For those who do have experience with Word, there are several things to keep in mind as you begin to write your first resume. First, keep your text simple. Using too many words is actually counterproductive to the rest of your resume. Instead, use short paragraphs and bullet points when appropriate , as this will make your resume easy to read.Another thing to remember is that resumes for nursing often refer to your educational background and work experience. Many nursing jobs actually ask for letters of recommendation. Make sure that you include any credentials in your document. You should also make sure that you don't put too much in your document about your full-time job, because if you do that, the nursing job will become the focus. Use your personal experiences to describe yourself instead. Tell your story and include some personal details, such as how you met your future spouse. One of the most interesting things to keep in mind is the placement of your employment history. Nursing schools and hospitals will request the dates of your employment when determining your eligibility for an interview. Many employers will use this information to create a more personal impression of your capabilities. In addition to employment, be sure to include references and work samples, if poss ible. You should also list all of the jobs that you've held that are relevant to the job you're applying for. References should also be included, especially if they're from former employers or supervisors. Use professional addresses, and make sure to clearly spell their names. In conclusion, consider the rules of resume writing for nursing when you're trying to come up with a nice one. Write your job and education history in a straightforward manner and include some relevant links. You should keep a few important things in mind while you are writing your own resume.

Competing for a New Job in a New Era How to Win

Competing for a New Job in a New Era â€" How to Win Compete to Win a Job Be the Best Job-Seeker Have you played competitive sports? How about online gaming, social sports or in-classroom settings? Yes, winning requires is a little bit of luck, but mostly skill. In this new era of job search, you need to be the best. To win a job today, you can have no unforced errors, you need practice and preparation, and you must be “on your game” at all times. Most job seekers forget the feeling, the emotion, and the discipline required to compete for employment. While there are jobs in the market today, more people are applying per job than ever before. As an ex nationally-ranked tennis player, musician and 30 year veteran of the job search process, I’d like to share three things you can do to assure you are ready to win: Get Your Game Head On â€" Both emotionally and physically, you need to get ready to compete. Emotionally, decide if you are 100% committed or if you will just dabble in the search part-time. If 100% committed, what amount of time will you dedicate to your job-search and what other things will you give up to gain that time in your calendar? Many of you are currently employed, or are job-searching within your own company. So you will need to slot the time during the evenings and weekends. And those of you who are not working right now probably have obligations to family or volunteering, making time equally challenging. Those of you who are not working and with no time obligations should spend 20-30 hours per week, minimally. Physically, you should be getting plenty of sleep, exercising and standing and sitting up straight all the time in preparation to compete. Get your haircut, check out the clothes you have in case you get called to meet a network contact, and shine your shoes (no, not your workout shoes). Build Your Job Search Playbook â€" No athlete or musician or chess player goes out without having a few strategies. In tennis, a player thinks about their serve and approach shots. In team sports, there are various plays the team can run, knowledge about the competition and practices right before the game. Now bring that back to your job search. First, “build the field”. (If you haven’t seen the movie, Field of Dreams, do so!). Have a 3-week plan, block the time in your calendar for specific job search activities and build your activity tracking tools. Then, for each position opportunity that you identify, study the company’s website, compare your background to their job description, and develop your strategy to “win” the job. Have answers for the most commonly-asked interview questions and tailor your preparation to relevant insights for the buyer: the hiring manager. Game-Day Performance â€" Wake up early and get all of your documents in order (copies of your resume, the job description and notes from your interview preparation). Assure your clothes are ironed, shoes polished, and all grooming is in good order. Then, if you are not in the lobby or parking lot of your appointment location 30 minutes prior to the start time, you are late. You can use the extra time to read over your interview question notes and the job description. Most importantly, remember one thing: This is NOT about YOU. It’s about the interviewer or hiring manager. Yes, all about what they are looking for, what needs they have for a great, new employee and if you will be a fit in their organization. So you need to listen more than you talk and ask great, insightful questions. Introduce yourself with a smile, sit up straight and take notes. Finally, express your interest and ask how you did in the interview at the end. Write or e-mail a thank you note within 24 hours. Be the best candidate on every level to WIN a job in today’s competitive era. Cut the Crap, and you will get a job.

What I learned about learning - by learning to snowboard - The Chief Happiness Officer Blog

What I learned about learning - by learning to snowboard - The Chief Happiness Officer Blog My wonderful girlfriend and I are back from a great week of skiing and snowboarding in Alpe dHuez (she skis, I board) and I picked up a new little trick on the trip. Here I am just starting to learn it: Ive been snowboarding for a few years now, and Ive always wanted to learn to jump! This year I finally got around to it, and it is loads of fun! Now, Im not just showing of my rad new snowboard skills there are some points here about learning in the workplace. Heres how corporate learning could improve by being more like learning to snowboard. 1: Learn by doing I learned to snowboard by snowboarding. I didnt attend a snowboard conference, seminar or training session. I have no manual, training video or snowboard simulator. Nothing beats learning by doing. 2: Learn as you need it I havent attended a three-day snowboard training session that taught me everything a snowboarder needs to know, including fakies, 360s and ollies. I learned one thing and applied it and only then moved on to the next thing. 3: Learn when you want to learn Nobody tells me Alex, today you will learn to ride moguls. I learn what I want to when I want to. 4: Focus on where you are, not where you ought to be When I keep my mind mostly on how good a snowboarder I want to be, Im paralyzed by the gap I perceive, and I dont get there. If I keep my mind on how good (or bad) I really am right now, I constantly improve. 5: Make it fun If Im not having fun, Im not learning. Its that simple. 6: Learn all the time not just in the classroom Last year I was on a really steep, uneven, icy slope. I was standing at the top of it thinking Man, I really want my first couple of turns to work. If I fall up here, Ill probably slide on my butt all the way down into the valley. So when I did my first turn, I did something new without deciding to do it: I pulled up the tail of my board halfway through the turn. It worked and I did a completely precise, perfect turn. I have no idea where that came from, but I clearly remember thinking Whoa thats a neat trick. I pull that one out of the bag whenever I really, really want a turn to work. 7: One little thing can make a huge difference This year, I sprang for 2 hours with an instructor. Its pretty pricey but definitely worth it. He looked at my style, and told me that it looked great but that if I moved my body up and down during turns it would work much better. It took me about 15 minutes to grasp that, and it was a breakthrough. Suddenly my boarding was much more fluid and effortless. I did everything that I normally did, and that one little addition just made it work much better than before. 8: Learn from people who like what they do The instructor who taught me obviously enjoyed both snowboard and teaching. You learn much faster when things are taught with passion. 9: Enjoy your mistakes I looooove falling on my board. The more spectacular the fall the better. You cant really learn if you fear failure. Very little learning happens without mistakes or when you fear making them. Heres Patricia enjoying one of her mistakes: Following this advice, Ive made enormous progress on my board. Youve seen one of my first jumps in the video above. Here I am, later that same day: Wheeeee! Next year Im getting a helmet and a back shield so I can go for some serious airtime :o) Thanks for visiting my blog.
